چکیده

Abstract Aim To evaluate the effect of using different short fiber-reinforced resin composites on fracture resistance and flexural strength endodontically treated tooth compare it with nano-filled composite. Methods Sixty human premolars were used for test. Root canals sequentially enlarged a Pro-taper system from SX to F3 obturated Gutta-percha. Mesio-Occluso-Distal (MOD) cavities prepared in all teeth. Teeth then divided into 3 groups (n = 20 each) based type Group 1: Alert composite, 2: EverX Flow 3: Z350 Each group subjected load till universal testing machine measure resistance. For test, 10 specimens each material 3- point bending tests performed. The results both analyzed by Weibull analysis. Results restored Ever X composite conveyed highest significant value when compared other two materials. Conclusions Short Fiber-reinforced can be considered better choice restoration MOD

Comparison of fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth restored with two different fiber posts

Background: The aim of this study was to determine and compare the fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth restored with two different glass fiber posts. Materials and methods: Thirty extracted intact human premolar teeth were selected for the study. All the teeth were decoronated maintaining root length of 15mm from apex. Root canals were enlarged using protaper rotary file. Obtura...

Fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth restored by different FRC posts: an in vitro study.

BACKGROUND Posts and cores are often required for restoration of pulpless teeth and to provide retention and resistance for a complete crown, but conventional posts may increase the root fracture. OBJECTIVE This study was performed to compare the root fracture resistance of extracted teeth treated with different fibers reinforced with composite posts and treated teeth with conventional post a...

Fracture Resistance of Endodontically Treated Teeth Restored by Glass Fiber Post and Carbon Post Systems

known that these teeth are generally weak because of dental structure loss, cavities, filling preparation, and root canal instrumentation. These teeth are thus rendered weak. Moreover, the decrease in the dentin moisture further lowers their strength properties, thus making them more susceptible to fractures. Therefore, it is necessary to take utmost care while selecting the most efficient way ...

Fracture Strength of Endodontically Treated Teeth Restored with Composite Overlays with and without Glass-fiber Reinforcement.

PURPOSE To evaluate the fracture strength and the failure mode of endodontically treated teeth restored with composite resin overlays with and without glass-fiber reinforcement. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 32 extracted molars were divided into four equal groups. In the NFR-NFRC (no foundation restoration, no fiber-reinforced composite) and NFR-FRC (no foundation restoration, fiber-reinfo...

Fracture Resistance and Failure Mode of Endodontically Treated Premolars Restored with Different Adhesive Restorations

Introduction: The restoration of endodontically treated teeth is a topic that has been studied extensively but it is still a challenge for dental practitioners. The aim of this study was to evaluate fracture resistance, fracture patterns and fracture location of endodontically treated human maxillary premolars restored with direct and indirect composite resin and ceramic restoration. Methods: E...
